Head Gardener 

The Falls Farm, an award-winning farm near Mapleton Falls National Park on the Sunshine Coast, is renowned for its commitment to regenerative farming practices. We grow a diverse range of seasonal produce, including heirloom vegetables, specialty greens, root crops, herbs, and edible flowers, all cultivated with a focus on soil health, biodiversity, and sustainable farming methods.

Role Overview
The Head Gardener will lead and collaborate with a small team to manage the farm's daily operations and ensure the successful cultivation of various crops. This role reports directly to the Farm Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the growing cycle in collaboration with the Farm Manager.
• Oversee planting, irrigation, soil preparation, and harvesting processes for a wide variety of crops, ensuring adherence to regenerative practices.
• Maintain small plot tools and equipment.
• Ensure produce meets high-quality standards for market sale, reflecting the farm's award-winning reputation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in small plot market gardening.
• Strong understanding of vegetable cultivation, regenerative farming practices, and sustainable agriculture.
• Skilled in planning planting schedules and managing soil preparation processes.
• Hands-on experience with irrigation and harvesting techniques.
• Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively.
